SIX?!

I really do not know how six years can come and go so quickly... Dade is growing into a confident, compassionate young boy full of character and love. He is still a little reserved around new people and in new situations but is otherwise rough and tumble. Dade loves to play Hot Wheels, Rescue Heroes, legos, and play doh and loves reading books of all kinds. He still asks for a story about the famous cowboys Dade and Luke (and soon-to-be-famous cowboy Wyatt) at bedtime.

We started the day opening family presents. Audrey was upset that she could not open any!
Hot Wheels are always a hit!
He and Luke have been playing with these ALL day.
Books he can read all on his own.
Transformers that Luke picked out.
He requested pancakes for his breakfast. I tried to make a "6" with the batter but it didn't turn out very well... nothing a little icing wouldn't help him look past!

For lunch, Dade chose to eat outside at Clay's where there are horses and sheep to pet and a rooster to stick your finger at through the chicken wire. This afternoon was spent pulling plants out of the front flower bed with Dad's truck and replanting them in the back yard. Tommy is grilling steaks for dinner and the kids helped me make a Reese cookie cake (Reese's pieces and Reese's peanut butter cups mixed into peanut butter cookie dough and topped with chocolate icing). Pictures to come.
