Cut & Paste.

The boys working on their 4th of July lapbooks.

Motherhood.

I was blessed to attend the MomHeart Conference in Dallas this past weekend. I got online a few weeks ago to order my ticket only to discover that they were sold out! Not only were there no tickets left, the waiting list was also closed! I had already scheduled Gran-sitting and made plans with my sweet friend in Houston to be there... I was devastated!  I scoured Craigslist to see if someone had a ticket for sale. I asked God to make it possible for me to go. About a week before the conference, Erica texted me saying she had a friend who had to back out at the last minute!
I was in GREAT need of some refreshment. I left before noon on Friday, made a quick stop to pick out the slabs for our countertops, and found my way to the hotel. Amid 800+ other moms, I quickly ran into Erica. We made our way to our table and the conference began.
It is easy for me to get caught up in what I feel I must get done each day - school work, ordering items for the house, grocery shopping, cleaning and to miss the forest for the trees!

A friend, a craft and a snack...

The family was listening to Dave Ramsey's EntreLeadership audio book in the car and he was discussing the DISC personality test. We went through and named who we thought matched each personality/animal. Later that night Wyatt said he was "50% fox and 50% goose" so we could just call him a gox!
