So I will remember ...
When Dade wore a Bobcat purple band ALL the time -- he even bathes in it! I had to trick him to take this picture which is why he's pointing to his neck -- he thinks he's showing me where he wants his hair cut!
A BIG THANK YOU
To Tommy! He kept all of the kids this weekend so that I could go to Houston and visit friends! If it weren't for Stacey's mom taking this picture of us, I would have NO evidence that I even went! I had not been back in over a year! I thought it would be harder for me emotionally than it was; overall, I did pretty well! I did get teary-eyed when I drove to our old house and (for some odd reason) when I drove past restaurants we used to frequent. It was such a treat to only have myself to care for! AND Tommy had the house SPOTLESS when I got home so I had absolutely NO work to do when I got back! I'll be taking some pointers from him!

Luke: Ranger feels a little blue.
Me: Why?
Luke: He misses his mom and dad and brothers and sisters. Good 'ol Ranger.

Boy's best friend!
We have been discussing getting another dog for a while now. In the past few weeks when we have been around other puppies, Luke's adoration for dogs has become especially prevalent. At a party on Saturday, Luke stayed on the porch for a good portion of the time holding their dog instead of playing on the water slide! After much deliberation and research, we decided on a beagle! The boys drove to Weatherford with Tommy to pick him up! They said it was a pretty easy decision as to which one to get -- he was pawing at Luke through the kennel, licking them and wagging his tail almost non-stop! He is six weeks old. The boys decided to name him Tex Ranger Goforth but want to call him Ranger. He slept in the boys' room in his kennel last night; they came in at 5:45 to let us know he was crying to go outside. He has been drenched with love and affection since arriving!
Cowboy {in training}
Wyatt is 19 months old! He has SO much personality! When unfamiliar people talk to him he will give them a scowl or put his head down and rub one eye with his hand. He has shown interest in using the potty for about a month now -- he regularly uses the potty at home although we've yet to try leaving home in anything other than a diaper. He can say so many words and is putting two and three words together; he told my mom "see big bird" and told me "Big Daddy home." He is in a hat phase right now; I love finding him with something unexpected on his head! We love this boy more than we can say!

HAPPY
Grandparents Day!
I wrote "grandparents day" on a piece of paper for Audrey to copy. She used yellow for some of her letters so a few of them are hard to see in the picture.

Here we go, go, go, go
On an ADVENTURE {insert The Cat in the Hat theme song}. FINALLY after what feels like an eternity of 100°+ days, the forecasted high today is in the 80's! The boys packed up this Labor Day morning and headed out to the woods.
"Cousin" time!
Tommy's aunt, uncle, cousins and their families came to Tyler this weekend. The boys had a grand time with Parker and Audrey and Payton were inseparable!
