Nature walk.

The kids and I took advantage of the cooler spring weather and went for a nature walk today. Dade found this caterpillar, and they all took turns letting it crawl on them. We stopped to look at the blooming dogwood trees. Growing right next to it was a pine tree. Dade asked if they were the same religion - he meant were they related! Luke helped me make "matchers" with his socks this afternoon. While he was folding a pair, he said, "thanks for showing me how to fold socks, mom." SO SWEET! A hail storm cancelled both baseball practices tonight, so we have had a rare relaxing evening at home. What better way to end a great day?!

What a glorious feeling!

(Insert Luke whistling the tune) Green briefs, yellow cowboy boots, and a shovel for digging just after the rain... this boy's dream.

A grand time with Gran!

We met Gran at the park Friday for a picnic and playtime. The weather was perfect!

A Great Day for Up!

Going down.

The Duke.

Oh, the irony.

We had just finished lunch and were cleaning up to go play when Wyatt walked backwards and fell right into the only mud in the park, all while carrying a bottle of hand sanitizer.

Beautiful, beautiful.

Love.

The tradition continues...

He's already a builder! He stacked these three blocks all by himself!

I've been waiting for this!

The caterpillars that we ordered came in today. The kids are all very excited about them but none more than Luke. He is enthralled!

Ready for practice.

At the zoo.

We met up with my sister-in-law, Cindy, and her two youngest at the zoo on Friday. It should have been a sign when we had to wait almost 30 minutes to get tickets! We had a great time despite the crowd.

Boys.

Already in love.

This is an almost daily occurrence - Wyatt pulling out books and flipping pages in them.

A big heart.

My lucky charm.

(If you're wondering, that's yellow yogurt under his nose.) I am soaking up all the baby left in this one. He won't hardly let me feed him anymore... he wants to do it all by himself.

Building.

Tommy is preparing to break ground on his first spec home in North East Texas and is getting the finishing touches put on the Goforth Custom Builders web site! We are very excited to see what God has in store for his company.

At the end of 2010, he teamed up with RoofMasters, an established roofing company in our area. The third division of their company, Strong Tower Construction, will focus on commercial construction.

Boxed in boys.

The boys tried out the bench Tommy is building for me on our back porch.

Hard Times.

Last week was rough. Tommy went to take the trash to the road Thursday morning and discovered that Bonham had been hit and killed by a car. He got him buried then we told the boys. We all sat together for over an hour, mostly silent. Dade got up to look for a picture of Bonham on his camera but could not find one; I pulled him up one on my phone later that day from our blog. Thursday night was hard again; we all piled in our bed to talk about our memories of and with Bonham. Each day has gotten a little easier for all of us, but I know it will take time for the pain to fully go away. Bonham was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Something in the air?

Same park, same day... Audrey asked me to hold her then to lay her on the blanket. Next thing I knew, she was sprawled out fast asleep. It was a perfect park day. I am sure I would have taken a siesta also if I could have!

Rockabye baby.

He's got it all.

Watching some baseball with snacks in hand and free to roam. What more could a 13 month old ask for?!

Cars.

Wyatt got several new cars for his birthday. He (and his siblings) are enjoying them! These pictured are from Nana and PaPa.

A for Audrey.

Audrey can spell her name verbally and is now learning to put the letters together to write it. We have been practicing with the bananagram letters.

Tomatoes.

Audrey LOVES raw tomatoes - cherry and grape are her favorite! She asked for some in a bowl before church yesterday and this is where I found her eating them.

Just like the big boys.

Snuggled.
