Stamps
The boys were coloring a box and decided it would be more fun to put "stamps" on themselves (Luke had help from his brother).
Roadtrip.
After our weekend in North East Texas, I took the kids to visit family.

The Grocery Game.
Do any of you or have you ever played the grocery game? If so, did you find that you saved a significant amount at the grocery store? And I wonder if it is still cheaper to buy generic on some items? And although I despise going to WalMart, I do go occasionally if several of the stores have good deals that I want to price match. I think I am going to try the one month trial at thegrocerygame.com and see how we fare. Thanks for your input.

My SIL.
Check out my sister-in-law's photography blog; she was interviewed by the news station in Tampa Bay. CONGRATS!

Try, try again (as Dade would say).
I have been able to upload video to my computer but am having trouble getting it onto my blog. I will keep trying. I am also having some disc issues -- once I get them worked out I will post pictures of our "new" backyard. We had three new trees planted and got instant shade. Tommy has started building the pergola as well.
Audrey has started moving her knees one at a time now but still prefers to pull herself across the room. The boys are with my parents and their cousins in Corpus Christi this week, so I am remembering what it's like to have ONE this week and am ENJOYING it! It seemed much harder to have just one four years ago!

The Day the Music Died.
Tommy and I went to Oktoberfest at an engineering company tonight. One of the performers was The Big Bopper, Jr. His father, J.P. "Big Bopper" Richardson died on the plane with Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens three months before he was born. The Big Bopper was sick with the flu so Waylon Jennigs (Holly's bass player at the time) gave up his seat on the plane for him to ride. And only in Texas would someone start a fire with a torch attached to a propane tank. I did not have my camera but one of our friends did. If she sends me a picture, I will post it for you all to see.
When I called at eight to check on the kids, they were all ASLEEP! It is much easier to enjoy a night out when we know they are fine.

Like Night and Day.
Today I had the boys glue beans onto the letter B. Here is a glimpse into the differences between Dade & Luke.

We took the kids to a festival at the college down the road. Lots of free fun. We also walked around the fire station.

Around here...
Audrey has started the one-hand-at-a-time crawling motion. She still moves her knees forward at the same time. Her eyes are changing color a little -- they are a grayish blue but look different depending on what she has on. Yes, I am still using cloth diapers and loving them. I just got more this past week.
I scored big this past week on FreeCycle. I got Luke his first bike! For those of you who don't yet know about FC, it's a Yahoo! group that is specific to your location where people post items they want to give away and items they want. Tommy took the boys to pick up the bike on Sunday. We bought new pedals and a chain, took it all to the Bike Barn, and picked it up yesterday. So for $23 we got Luke a great bike! He is so excited about being able to ride with Dade. He didn't want the training wheels on, but it will be a while before he is ready to go without them.
Dade helped Luke wash his bike last night.
I found this on Michael Savage's website -- a county in upstate New York made a mistake on their absentee ballots.
I love what Dennis Miller said on Jay Leno last week -- it's not the color of Obama's skin that bothers me, it's the thinness of it.

New Braunfels
This past weekend we went with Tommy's parents to New Braunfels. We walked through the Natural Bridge Caverns and drove through the Wildlife Safari.
The kids & I outside N.B.C.
It's hard to tell from the picture but behind the boys is Bat Guano. There are no bats in the caves anymore and the guano does not smell.
The zebra stuck his head inside the van.
The "jungle chicken."
