at the farm.

We spent a weekend with Tommy's parents, his sister, Cindy, and her family at the farm.

Dade found these old frames after picking in the barn.

I think this was the day before the horse bit him on the shoulder!

more boys!

Cindy and her family came to watch the boys football game. After lunch, we drove to our lot then out to their new land - the boys had an afternoon full of exploring!

I think Dade threw a dirt clod at him...
On the dirt pile at our lot... ready to roll and jump down.

Playing cards with Nana.
Delicious homemade peach ice cream made with peaches grown right there.

this is my work.

Ecclesiastes 5:18 Here is what I have seen: It is good and fitting for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor in which he toils under the sun all the days of his life which God gives him; for it is his heritage. 19 As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God. 20 For he will not dwell unduly on the days of his life, because God keeps him busy with the joy of his heart.

{Luke will not be happy this picture made the blog} I help on Wednesday nights at KIDZ life so I was able to snap this photo. The kids are divided into their respective grades and each week we have team competitions. This particular week, Luke was the lucky one from his class chosen to represent 2nd grade. Little did he know that he would be outfitted with a bib and have to race to finish a bottle of apple juice! He didn't finish first, but he was a good sport!
Wyatt on the bar at gymnastics.

I don't have a clue what they were doing!
Boys in a tree.

Sports cycle.

Football season ended for Dade and Luke yesterday; it was supposed to end last Saturday but somehow when you play in a league with six teams and you have two wins, you end up in fourth place and earn a spot in the playoffs! After their final loss yesterday, they are d-o-n-e! {Could you hear all of the moms screaming with joy yesterday?!} We have not had a true sports break since baseball practice began earlier this year! After the regular baseball season, Dade's All-Star National tournament in Arkansas, and our vacation, we had exactly one week to rest before football practices started! It will be nice to have our Tuesday and Thursday nights and Saturdays free again. And yes, they have already ordered and received their new gloves and have been outside throwing the baseball around. It's part of who they are! For now, I am savoring the few months we have off!

cousins.

My sister brought her girls out to fish and swim several days in a row.

Dade actually caught this fish!
Luke loves to fish!
A Rangers t-shirt, football pants and boots on the dock... all boy!

I LOVE Dade's face in this picture!

Teagan.

so we'll remember...

This is Audrey's dinner plate and her pink flosser. She DESPISES anything being stuck between her teeth so much that she will often go get a flosser during dinner, use it right then and leave it next to her plate.

Still more...
