Nursery.

I've been meaning to post pictures of Audrey's nursery for a while. I finally painted the poem this past weekend. I have been trying to think of something to do around the edges and at the bottom to make it look more complete... any suggestions?

Firsts.

Dade and Luke had their season opener yesterday. They took pictures beforehand.

For Luke's first "Luke Day" he chose to go camping with Tommy. They left after the ball game yesterday.

Ready to go.

Notice his canteen.

He caught two catfish.

A BIG breakfast!

Have you noticed that Luke is eating

in most of these pictures?!

Peace & Quiet.

I just laid Audrey down and the boys are almost asleep; I cannot even remember the last time this happened! I came across an ad for these new Lullaby CDs in my MOPS magazine. I had it playing while I gave A.C. her bottle... it was very calming for both of us. I think these will be a great gift to give expecting and/or exasperated moms! We could all use some peaceful music for those (RARE) quiet moments.

Tornadoes.

Dade has been very interested in tornadoes for the past week or so since he read a book about them while at WalMart. We looked at some pictures and read more about them on the internet yesterday then made our own.

Luke

Words.

My lunch conversation with a three- and five-year old:
Dade: (referring to the picked okra I was eating and had offered them) "Dad likes to eat the pointed side 'cause it has the hair on it."
Luke: (after attempting to make calls from my cell phone and getting an answering machine) "They said they were unable to take my call."

Oh the memories these two are making for me!

Cavities.

Luke started to put up a fight this morning when I mentioned that it was time to brush teeth. I let him know it was fine if he decided not to brush but that I would not be able to let him have any "treats," gum, candy, cookies -- all the things he loves so dearly. I went on to tell him that if he got a cavity that the dentist would have to give him a shot in his mouth and use the drill and/or pliers on his tooth (maybe that was too harsh?). To finish off my speech I said we could look at some pictures of cavities on the computer. Dade perked up and said, "yea... I think you go to dentist dot com."

Cookies.

We made resurrection cookies with the kids tonight. This is really the first year that Dade & Luke understand that Easter is about Jesus' death and resurrection.

Now the boys are in the backyard with Tommy trying to get a fire going in our new fire pit so that they can roast marshmallows. They spent most of the day scouting out land while Audrey and I ran errands and worked around the house. Luke said the Easter Bunny was going to jump over our fence tonight.

Tea Party.

*I composed this post a while back and forgot to publish it!

We had a little family party for Audrey on April 1. The boys helped open her gift then we had a tea party.
