So You Know...

There will not be pictures on our blog for a while; our camera has decided it has taken enough in the past four years.

Thank You, Tommy.

For these... and these!

The Bull.

Luke and Audrey riding the Daddy Bull. Dade trying to hold on for 8 seconds.

Now Audrey likes to wrap her babies in a blanket, a wash cloth, a paper towel... whatever she can find. She also mastered the fake cough this week.
Watching Audrey run to the door clapping when Daddy gets home is the cutest thing I have EVER seen... I have to get it on video.

Weekend Away.

We spent Memorial Day weekend with Tommy's family. I did a poor job taking pictures while we were there... see Donna's blog for more!

"Big Dade" helping "Little Dade" get the cars out of the trailer. D&L with their cousins, Joshua and Christopher -- they seem to be planning a scheme with Audrey's doll.

Putt Putt.

Tonight was Dade's night out. He chose to play putt putt and eat pizza. We had the best time! Luke and Audrey stayed home with our new babysitter, Kimmie.

Scary cave ahead!

Out!

Dade's first tooth came out (with a little) help this morning! Luke said, "Mom, half of Dade's tooth is broken." Sure enough, the back half was already out. He is very excited to see what the Tooth Fairy will leave him. We played with some friends today and he told me that it is "a little embarrassing" that he has a tooth missing.

And Baby Makes Four.

NO... it's not what some of you are thinking! I kept our neighbor's little girl this morning.
Julianna was bombarded with attention. Dade serenaded her with "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star."
Three or four times now Donna and I have purchased the same or very similar article of clothing. Case in point... Mark and McCain.Audrey's ponytail -- I thought I had finally discovered a way to keep her from pulling her bow out but it didn't last much longer after I took these.

Golden Mommy.

Books on my bedside table...

Good Families Don't Just Happen, Garcia-Prats. This mom came to speak to our MOPS group; they have TEN boys ages 33 - 15, all single births! She has been on Oprah and a few other talk shows. Her and her husband have written several books together and have a new book coming out soon called "Good Boys Don't Just Happen."
Date Night in a Minivan, Craker.

This is the same author that wrote Wild at Heart.
In case some of you missed the Nationally televised Golden Mommy Awards, here is the beautiful award I won for Best Set-Up Help (along with two other mommies).

Trains, Tractors & Automobiles.

We took the kids to ride the train this morning before t-ball.

Luke has been asking to push Audrey lately.

Dade was not happy about having to wait in line.

There are not too many other things that Luke gets this excited about (except maybe candy and dessert!).

Dade mowing his field.

They still play with their Hot Wheels almost everyday.

The Joy of Baking... the batter! They wanted to put candles on the cake and sing "Happy Birthday" to themselves.

Salad-Mama.

Salad-Boy has a counterpart -- here she is eating lettuce with ranch dressing, avocado and tomatoes last night.Audrey is already a little Mommy. This water baby from Aunt Cindy is probably her favorite -- she hugs and kisses it, shows her off to Tommy and me, pushes her in the stroller and feeds her.

A Girl After My Own Heart.

On this, my fifth Mother's Day, while Dade was doing this...and Luke was working on this...Audrey walked up behind me, grabbed my hand, and took me directly to the kitchen to this...How could you say no to this sweet face?! She had been nibbling on some earlier with her Dad and obviously was telling me she wanted more! (If you need a good Southern Blackberry Crumble recipe, I've used this one countless times and it's always delicious).

Happy Mother's Day!

To the mothers who have shown me how to be and become... Thank you and I love you!

My Grandmother, Mary Jo Inzina White (with Audrey).

My mom, Cynthia Ruth White Blackburn and

my Great Grandmother, Audrey Humble Inzina. Tommy's mom, Donna Marie Thomas Goforth.Tommy's Grandmother, Jessie "Allyne" Tyner Goforth.
I found these pictures from two Mother's Days ago --
