girl's night out

For Audrey's night out, she decided she wanted Mom to accompany her.
She found some items at Target
and at the Childrens Place. She had me take a picture of her holding EVERYTHING she wanted!
Dinner at NEWKS. She wanted soup - she ate her entire bowl of broccoli cheddar soup then a little bit of her brownie.
Our first stop was at the park to play!
I love our one-on-one time!

Day with Gran.

Audrey was able to go with my mom to my niece's music program last Thursday. Afterwards, they went to lunch and then spent the afternoon at Gran's office.

March already?!

In the words of Luke, time travels so fast!

Wyatt turned THREE February 9! We celebrated with a family party on his birthday at the park. It was freezing. He opened gifts, ate his ice cream and fell asleep on Gran's shoulder!

Dade turned... NINE!!! I am still in denial. He chose to have a party at our church. It is so fun to watch him with his friends. {expanded post to come} I celebrated my 33rd.

Dade had baseball tryouts for his first year of kid pitch. He did great! He was chosen in the 'first round'  after the coaches' sons. He started practice this week. When Dade started playing t-ball in Houston he would not even hit the ball with anyone watching him. Tommy would try to help him swing at the ball during games but he would hit into the backstop so he would not see anyone watching him. He has come so far! I love to watch him pitch. He is learning to play the recorder at our co-op classes this semester. He managed to inherit my musical gene - he enjoys practicing, can feel beats and hear tones. He can play eight songs already!

We drove to Houston for Tommy's cousin, Allie's, wedding. It was a LONG trip there and home. It was great to see Tommy's extended family. The wedding was outdoors and was beautiful! We stayed with his cousin, Amy, and her family. The kids really enjoyed spending time with their cousins. Wyatt woke up sick Sunday morning with a stomach bug. He got sick in the truck on the drive home which necessitated a stop at Target for towels and clean clothes. We were able to stop in North Houston to purchase some dining chairs that I found on Craigslist.

The house is moving along. They will start staining and painting tomorrow. We finalized the flooring last week and I have finished ordering all the light fixtures. I still have a few mirrors to order but {think} I'm finished with all the major decisions. I picked out my marble when I was in Dallas for the WholeHeart conference. The slabs were picked up this week and are being honed.

Tuesday was my mom's birthday; we went to lunch with my grandmother and sister. It was really nice and I took ZERO pictures!!! What a shame.

Next week is Spring Break. We don't technically take a break from homeschool (because we take off at other times during the year when we need to and our kids don't know any different!). It does mean - no gymnastics on Monday, no co-op classes on Wednesday, no KIDZ life Wed. night, and possibly no baseball practices. We have a playdate planned with come church friends. I am really looking forward to a slower week!
